The Sum of Us is a book about 'care giving' written by various authors. I was expecting something along the lines of Chicken soup for the Soul but was taken with surprise.

The first story is about retired super villains who are being taken care of by their hunch men/5(23). The Sum of Us is a brilliant analysis of how we arrived here: divided and self-destructing, still the richest country in the world, but spiritually starved and vastly unequal.
